Standard

Lets face it, being a woman isn’t always as fun as it might sound! There are plenty of ailments we get to cope with everyday, only increasing with age, while some are easily soothed, others not so much. Essential oils are a perfect, healthy more holistic way to treat these issues. Over a series of posts I hope to help you discover their potential.

Lets start with good, old PMS. There are multiple of options for treating the cramping, heavy menstruation, mood swings, headaches, bloating, skin breakouts that this fun time of the month brings with it. I am going to cover the most popular options, which are also versatile in treating the symptoms of menopause, hot flashes, thinning hair, low libido, dryness, and low bone density.

First off there is Progessence Plus, a serum made with wild yam, vitamin E, Frankincense, Bergamot, Rosewood, Clove, Cedarwood, Copiaba and Peppermint. It works as a hormone supplement, using wild yam a natural source of progesterone. Most PMS symptoms are caused by fluctuating hormones, Progessence Plus helps keep them level through out the month, easing, or preventing symptoms. It works similarly for menopause, but as natural hormone replacement. According to Dr. John Lee, estrogen has been linked with hair loss, weight gain, cancer, memory loss, uterine fibroids, autoimmune conditions and fatigue. So regulating your progesterone levels is an important part of remaining healthy.

It should be applied directly to your neck, 1-2 drops, once or twice a day. It is safe to use at age 12.
